September 16th, 2013
Saturday was the PPL finals at the Greene County Fair in Waynesburg, PA. There was a strong field of 13 Super Stock 4x4 trucks and a huge crowd on hand. We made a good pull with "The Outlaw" giving us a 7th place finish.
Martin Motorsport would like to congratulate Luke Simeon with the "Out-A-The Blue" on Winning the 2013 Super Stock 4x4 points championship. Also Tom Taylor with the "Gunpowder and Lead"on Winning the 2013, 6,300 Open Street 4x4 points championship.

Wednesday we headed to the Big Knob Fair in Rochester, PA for PPL. The Super Stock 4x4 Trucks had another tight night of competition. We made a good pull with "The Outlaw" giving us a 7th place finish. We very satisfied with the performance of the truck the last two nights of pulling. We are looking forward to the PPL finals at Waynesburg, PA.

Saturday’s pull at Hookstown, PA for PPL had a packed crowd and good competition in the Super Stock 4x4 class. "The Outlaw" was the last hook in the class and had a great run, Qualifying as the 7th truck in the Pull Off. We came back to make another great run ending up with a satisfying 4th place finish.

Friday we headed to Smithfield, OH for PPL. "The Outlaw" was a late hook in the class again, We made a great pull, but ended up finsihing 9th. We made some great gains on the truck and were happy with the night.

Wednesday we headed to Dayton, PA to pull both trucks for PPL. With "The Outlaw" we were a late hook in the class, the truck started to bounce about 50 feet into the pull, Giving us a 9th place finish. We have been struggling with the performance this season, some of the new parts and setup has not been working out. We are looking forward to the last few events of this year and are hoping to turn things around.
We pulled late in the 8,000 Open Street Diesel 4x4 class with "Six Gun Smokin'". We had a few problem with the truck, but still was able to make pretty good pull giving us a 4th place finish.

Saturdaywe headed to the Greene County Fair in Waynesburg, PA for PPL. We drew another early number and did had some clutch problems with "The Outlaw". We struggled to a disappointing 11th place finish.

Last night Martin Motorsport pulled are newest truck "Six Gun Smokin'" in the Work Stock Diesel at Yankee Lake Brookfield , OH. We laied down a great pull give us a 3rd place finish. We are excited to start pulling in the Work Stock Diesel class.

Tuesday we pulled at our hometown pull at the Butler Farm Show in Butler, PA for PPL. We pulled 3rd in the class and "The Outlaw" and was the first measured pull in the class. As in the past we had a difficult time doing good in front of are hometown fans. We made a good pull but ending up with an 11th place finish.

Saturday was PPL's second time at the Summit County Fair in Tallmadge, OH where "The Outlaw" was the second hook in the class. We had a good pull finishing 6th place.
Firday July 19th pull was at Washington, PA for the Greater Washington County Food Bank. "The Outlaw" had a disappointing pull giving us a 11th place finish.

Saturday at Cadiz, OH was the second hook out for "The Outlaw" this season. PPL had a strong field of 13 Super Stock trucks on hand and a nice crowd. We were an earlier hook and had a good pull, but we did not get the setup right for the track conditions. We were only able to take a 8th place finish with a distance of 274.39 feet, just holding off Pat Collins's "Southern Pride" pull of 274.35 feet.

Wins Tug-O-War Challenge At Yankee Lake
Friday at Yankee Lake Brookfield , OH we took on the Tug-O-War Challenge in the 8,500 lbs class. There was a good field of 14 in the 8500 lbs trucks and a large crowed on hand. The "Wild West Express" was strong all night long with only a few problems, advancing threw the rounds making it to the finals. There was an all Ford final round going up against at 6.0 Powerstroke. We won the first tug, but on the second the truck shut off and we lost. It was a quick fix and we came back to win the third tug in the final round. Ryan and the "Wild West Express" were Yankee Lake Tug-O-War Challenge Champion.

"The Outlaw" Runner-up in Pine Lake to start out 2013
Saturday at Pine Lake Ashtubula, OH was the frist PPL of the year. There was a strong field of 12 super stock trucks on a hard and dry track in the afternoon sun. We were the 3rd puller in the class and layed down a good pull at 303.33 feet to finsish in 2nd place. We are very pleased with our preformance and are looking forward to our next pull in Cadiz, OH.

Martin Motorsport has been working hard all winter getting ready for the 2013 season and would like to apologize for being behind on updateing the website. "The Outlaw" will be running a limited schedule again this year. We are going to continue trying new ideas and testing new parts. The "Wild West Express" will only compete in one pull this year. It has been conveted over the winter into a 6500lb and 8500lb tugging truck and will try to run at Yankee Lake weekly as well as tug competitiosns in PA and OH. We are excticed for this new challenge and are looking forward to pulling and tugging this summer. Please check back for updates to the site in the next week.

Captures First PPL Win!!
Saterday we Headed to the Greene County Fair in Waynesburg, PA for PPL. We had a good field of 10 Super Stock 4x4 Turcks. Calvin Brown, Jr. with the "Buckeye Bowtie" took the lead early as the 3rd puller with a run of 317.88 feet. Pat Collins with the "Southern Pride" took the lead from Clavin late in the field with a pull of 325.80 feet. We were the last hook in the class and had a great pull going 327.78 to give "The Outlaw" and its driver Tyler there first PPL win.

Tuesday we pulled at our hometown pull at the Butler Farm Show in Butler, PA for PPL. We pulled 3rd int the class and "The Outlaw" started to bounce about 75 feet into the pull. Giving us a disappointing 7th place finish in front of are hometown fans. The bounce took its toll on the truck, it broke a rear ring & pinion, and 2 U-Joints.

Saturday was PPL's first time at the Summit County Fair in Tallmadge, OH where "The Outlaw" had a strong pull finishing 5th place. We pulled 3rd in the class and took the lead. We were able to hold off the next few trucks, but unfortunately we could not hold off Simeon, Martie, Eberthart, and Snider.

Friday weather threatened the Greater Washington Food Banck pull in Washington, PA for PPL. 'The Outlaw" was on a great run when a U-Joint failure on the back of the transmission ended the pull early. It cost Martin Motorsport probably another top 5 finish. We ended up with a disappointing 10th place finish.

Martin Motorsport first PPL top 5 finish of the year!
Saturday we headed to Cadiz, OH for the second PPL pull of the year. Cadiz had a great track and a strong field of 12 trucks. "The Outlaw" laid down a great pull going 320.11 feet to give us a 4th place finish. We have gained a lot on the truck since the first pull at Avella and are very happy so far.

Cadiz Ohio added to schedule
PPL has added a pull at Cadiz Ohio for the Super Stock 4x4 Trucks on July 7th. "The Outlaw" will be attending this pull.

Martin Motorsport has been working hard all winter getting ready for the 2012 season. "The Outlaw" will be running a limited schedule the year. We are trying new ideas and testing new parts. The "Wild West Express" as of now will also just be running a limited schedule. Saturday we went to Avella, PA for the first PPL pull of the year. The 6,300 Open Street 4x4 was first. The "Wild West Express" made a great pull giving it a 9th place finish in a strong field of trucks. In the Super Stock Truck class, There was a field of 12 trucks. We had a few small problems and clutch trouble with "The Outlaw". The truck made an OK pull ending up with a 7th place finish.

Saturday we headed to Waynesburg, PA for the Lucas Oil Finals. In fornt of a huge crowd we were the second hook with "The Outlaw" and laid down a good pull, but ened up with a disappointing 7th place finish. We were unable to finish close enough to Bob Martie's "Raisin A Ruckus" to stay 5th in points. We ended up 6th for the year in points, But we are still pleased with our performace this season.

Friday we were in the West Alexander, PA to pull both trucks for PPL. It was the final pull for the 6,300 Open Street 4x4 class. The "Wild West Express" was tied for 5th in points heading into the night. We had problems with the truck and didn't have a good pull. Giving us a 14th place finish and ending up 6th in the points for the year.
Martin Motorsport would like to congratulate Ernie Palmer on Winning the 2011, 6,300 Open Street 4x4 points championship.
We were the test puller with "The Outlaw" and made a good pull and put down a good distace. However we felt we could do better and dropped the pull. We came back and put 2 feet on the frist pull. It was not enought to get in the top 5 we ended up with a 6th place finish.

Wednesday we headed to the Big Knob Fair in Rochester, PA to pull both trucks for PPL. The 6,300 Open Street 4x4 class started the night out. The "Wild West Express" made a great pull ending up with an 8th place finish out of a field or 19 trucks. We were just able to get the truck put back together for Big Knob.
The Super Stock 4x4 Trucks had another tight night of competition. We made a good pull with "The Outlaw" giving us a distance of 309.97 feet to finish 4th, just holding off Pat Collins pull of 309.77 feet.

"The Outlaw" Runner-up in Hookstown
Friday we were in Greensburg, PA ath the Westmoreland County Fair for PPL. We made made a good run with "The Outlaw" ending up with a 5th place finish.
Saturday we headed to Hookstown, PA to pull both trucks for PPL. We started the night out with the 6,300 Open Street 4x4 class. The "Wild West Express" was the test puller. Unfortunately the front rearend broke early in the run. After further inspection it broke everything but the ring & pinion and one axle.
We had a good field of Super Stock Trucks at Hookstown. We were the last hook ing the class with "The Outlaw" and put down a great pull of 302.30 feet the finish 2nd, Just beating Ron Jack's "Bounty Hunter" with a distance of 302.03 feet.

"The Outlaw" Runner-up in Smithfield
Friday we headed to Smithfield, OH to pull both trucks for PPL. Rain threatened to cancel the pull but we were able to get it in. We started the night out with the 6,300 Open Street 4x4. The "Wild West Express" Made a good pull ending up with an 11th place finish in a big field of 19 trucks.
We had a good field of Super Stock 4x4 trucks where Bob Martie took the lead late in the class. We were the last hook in the class with "The Outlaw" and put down an almost perfect pull just missing our first PPL win by going 309.80 feet to finish 2nd to Bob Martie's 310.23 foot pull that won.
It was a great night with both trucks for Martin Motorsport in Smithfield. We are very pleased with the progress of the new engine program and are looking forwards to the rest of the season.

Captures Back to Back top five finishes!
Saturday's pull at the Green County Fair in Waynesburg, PA was the first of 4 pulls in 4 days for PPL. At Waynesburg "The Outlaw" was the test puller and made a great run with a distance of 306.33 feet. We turned the run down and came back on the second run to pull 316.89 feet to finish in the top five with a 5th place finish.
Sunday's pull at Ashtublua, OH for PPL and Northwest was rained out. Monday's pull at Washington, PA for PPL was also rained out.
Tuesday we had clear sky's as we headed to Dayton, PA for PPL. Where "The Outlaw" was an early hook and laid down an almost perfect pull giving us a 3rd place finish. It has been 9 year since Martin Motorsport has pulled at Dayton. It was the place, 9 years ago, where "The Outlaw" and its driver, Tyler Martin, at the age of 17 made there very first pull in Super Stock 4x4.

Thursday we headed to Moundsville, WV for PPL with the "The Outlaw". We were the test puller after the sled was reset. We made a good pull but were unable to turn it down and come back due to a developing lifter problem with the engine. Whitch left us with another 6th place finish. Friday at Jefferson Twp, PA was the second Norrhwest pull of the year. We were unable the to pull do to the progression of the lifter problem.

Martin Motorsport first PPL top 5 finish of the year!
Thursday at Mineral Wells, WV was the start of three nights of PPL pulls for "The Outlaw". I was a long hot night at Mineral Wells. We had ignition problems but were still able to make the pull and luckily ended up with a 6th place. The MSD box completely quit right as we pulled up to the trailer. Friday and Saturday's pulls at Perry Co. Fair Lexington, OH went much better. There was a little rain Friday, but we still got the pull in. We made a good pull giving us another 6th place finish. For Saturday's pull the truck ran perfect and made a great pull giving us a 4th place finish.

Saturday we headed to Cadiz, OH for the second PPL pull. Cadiz had a really great power track and a good field of 12 trucks. "The Outlaw" had a really good pull giving us a 6th place finish. We have gained a lot on the truck since the first pull at Avella and are very happy with the performance of the truck so far.

Martin Motorsport Captures Two PPL 7th Place Finishes to start out the 2011 Season!
Friday's Northwest pull at Mercer Raceway was rained out. It has been rescheduled for September 16th. Saturday we headed to Avella, PA for the first PPL pull for "The Outlaw" and "Wild West Express". There was no rain and a good field of trucks. We had a good run ending up with a 7th place finish. It was the first run on the new engine and we were very pleased with it. There are some minor problems that need to be worked out with all the new equipment on the truck for this year, but still not a bad start for the year. Everything should be worked out with "The Outlaw" in the next few week.
Avella was the first night out for the "Wild West Express". It will compete full time in PPL's 6,300 Open Street Legal 4x4 new points class for 2011. We made a really good run giving us a 7th place finish. Please check back in the next week for an update to the schedule and results pages for the 6,300 Open Street Legal 4x4.

Saturday we traveled to Waynesburg, PA for the PPL Finals. After a good pull we ended up with a disappointing 10th place finish at the finals. We finished 8th in points for Lucas Oil Pro Pulling League / Power Pulling Productions this year.

Martin Motorsport “The Outlaw” Wins North West PA 2010 Championship!
Thursday we headed to Jamestown, PA for the last North West pull of the year. We were the test puller and had to make two runs because they reweighted the sled. We had an ok pull giving us a 4th place finish that night. We collected enough points beating Ron Jack’s “Bounty Hunter” to win the points championship.
Friday we headed to West Alexander, PA for PPL. We had a strong pull giving us an 8th place finish.

Thursday August 19th we pull at New Castle, PA for PPL we had a good pull ending up with a 7th place.
Friday August 20th was Smithfield, OH for PPL we had a decent pull ending up with an 8th place.
Sunday August 22nd the pull at Mercer Raceway Park was not a good day with a bad pull and ending up with a 10th place finish.
Friday, the 27th we were at the Westmoreland County Fair for PPL. We had a good pull ending up with a 9th place finish.
Saturday we headed to Hookstown, PA for PPL. We had a good pull leaving us with an 8th place finish.

Last Tuesdays we were at the Butler Farm Show, Butler PA in front of our home town crowd. To start our first of 6 pulls in 7 day for PPL. We were the test puller and made two hooks. The second hook was a little better than the first leaving us in 7th place.
Thursday we headed to New Martinsville WW, for a two day show. That night the show was threatened by rain. After gardening of the track and a short delay we got to pull. With the starting line greasy and the far end dry we had a good pull ending up 7th. Friday there was no rain. We were the test puller and had to make two runs after the sled was reweighted. We came back and got another 7th.
Saturday was Waynesburg, PA where we had a good pull leaving us with our 5th straight 7th place finish.
Sunday we headed up to Ashtubula, OH for a NW & PPL pull. Again we were the test puller. On the first hook the truck starts to bounce and I had to back out of it. The second hook was much better till a rear u-joint failed putting leaving us with an 8th place finish. This dropped us to second in NW points with only 1 pull left with NW this season.
Monday we went to Washington, PA for PPL. We had a nice pull ending up with a 7th Place finish once again.

Thursday’s trip to Moundsville, WV was a lot better that the previous weekend in Perry County. We had a good run leaving us with a 7th place finish just getting beat for 6th by less than 6 inches.
Saturday we headed to Jefferson Twp Fair in PA. For the first Northwest pull of the year. We had a strong pull beating Ron Jacks, Bounty Hunter, by a little over a foot to take 1st Place.

Friday we headed to Perry Co. Fair in Lexington, OH for a two day show with PPL. It was a long hot weekend. We ended up with a disappointing 11th place finish Friday, breaking our streak of 23 straight top 10 finishes from early 2008. Saturday's pull was a little better finishing 9th.

Saturday was the first pull for The Outlaw this season. We started out at Mineral Wells, WV, and it was a great start! We got 5th out of 11 trucks. This season should be a good one, we look forward to it.
